Mr. Derek Cheung, Standing Committee Member

Mr. Derek Cheung is the CEO and Founder of Hong Kong Esports Limited (HKES), the Director of Hong Kong Game Industry Association, an internationally renowned e-sports player, as well as an influential leader on social media marketing.

After graduating from the University of Southern California in 2012, he left his well-paid position at investment bank the following year and joined the then-exotic e-sports sector by establishing HKES. Making the best use ofhis extensive understanding of the demands arising from players and fans, he is the key driver to the popularity of e-sports in Hong Kong and gradually, his platform has evolved into a gigantic e-sports kingdom across the APAC region.

In 2018, Mr. Cheung made to the Forbes' list of "Asia's 30 Under 30" ,under the "Consumer Technology" category as the Founder of HKES.
